Six months later...

One of the things Xavier has always wanted was a real Christmas vacation. Complete with snow, a real tree and a rustic setting. I blame it all on those holiday movies on Hallmark he catches me watching. After convincing Corey to switch schedules with us, Carter arranged a stay at a cabin in the mountains for the week. To be honest, we need the break, too. Things have been super busy at the firm and with our little princess Eleni growing and keeping us up at night with her sleep habits, our relationship has been delicate, to say the least. There are times where he will sleep in his office after working hard on a case, or me on the couch because I’m too tired to move to the room. Needless to say, this vacation couldn’t have come at a better time. We will have the first few days to ourselves and then our parents, along with Jewel and Casey, will join us for the actual holiday. Complete with tree trimming festivities, caroling, and of course gift giving. The actual holiday meal is being catered since I want all of us to relax and not have to worry about anything.
